A DREAM! I don’t know a better word that can describe our time at the Omni Montelucia! There was a moment by the Joya Spa pool where my husband and I just looked at each other and said we can’t remember the last time we were both so relaxed.

From the moment you arrive at the Omni, you are immediately nestled in to it’s cozy, spanish charm. There is this gorgeous ivy that envelopes many of the exterior walls and I am such a sucker for that design detail. The design in general is so luxurious and tasteful- quite the departure from being in a home scattered with fisher price toys and applesauce. We received a warm greeting at reception and then were whisked to our room via bellman and golf cart.

THIS VIEW YOU GUYS! That is the gorgeous Camelback Mountain!

The room itself was so good! We were on a second floor unit and had a balcony with an UNBELIEVABLE view of Camelback mountain. This is where I spent 80% of my time while we were in the room (the majority of remaining time was spent in the oversized soaking tub!! haha see the glamorous image below of the before and after of my spray tan soak).

So embarrassing but so worth it!!!

The first evening we just explored the beautiful resort and enjoyed dinner out in town with my husband’s childhood friends at The Porch. This was a super hip and casual indoor/outdoor eatery with adorable swing tables and games.

Here I am a little too excited about the XL cactus, palm trees, and perfectly colored walls

Day 2 of our Babymoon at the Omni Montelucia was BY FAR the best day of the trip- SPA DAY AT JOYA SPA! But first, I had to start my day with my absolute favorite part of traveling- ROOM SERVICE BREAKFAST! It was delightful 🙂

This spa is absolutely stunning and no detail was overlooked. As soon as you walked through the door, the smell captivates you. We were given a tour of the spa and introduced to the traditions of Joya. We each chose an intention stone and placed our hands upon the beautiful glowing crystal in order to set our intention and mindset for the day (my husband, the jokester that he is, didn’t take this part too seriously, but I certainly did! And guess what- I left this spa day with a whole new outlook and business plan!! So I believe in the power of that crystal lol)

While we waited for our massages, my husband and I meditated in the coed relaxation room. Now I had seen photos of this room online before this trip and this was the moment I had waited for! The coziest room with tempurpedic mattresses set the tone for our massage sessions at the rest of the day.

I mean- come on. NOW THIS IS A SPA!!!! The coed relaxation room at Joya Spa

As hard as it was to pick my putty body off of that perfect mattress, it was time for my 80 minute prenatal massage! There are just no words you guys… no words. I guess the best way I described it after was that my message therapist TOOK ME TO CHURCH!!!! I was so relaxed and comfortable, and it was during this massage that I got a purposeful business idea (stay tuned!) After massages, we spent the rest of the afternoon lounging and ordering food by the Joya Spa adult only pool before returned to our room for a nap. That evening we got to  attend a gorgeous rehearsal dinner at the Papago Golf Course at Lou’s Bar & Grill.

We started our final day of our baby moon with breakfast at the amazing Prado restaurant on premise. Besides the curious birds, it was amazing. I figured I would take advantage of my sweet tooth with the Brioche French Toast before my 3 hour glucose test later in the week 🙂

What a spread!

After breakfast, we lounged at the adult pool before picking up my husband’s grandmother for a Mother’s Day lunch at House of Tricks. Thanks to Phoenix-based food blogger @phoodfight for the amazing recommendation! (I had DM’d on instagram asking for somewhere classy and delicious near his grandmother’s assisted living facility and this was the perfect atmosphere!)

We spent the rest of our evening with amazing friends witnessing the marriage of our friends Taylor & Kristen. It was the perfect desert evening and I did not want the night, or the trip to end. BUT I missed my babies, it was Mother’s Day, and we had to get home. So we rounded out our baby moon with one more room service breakfast with the gorgeous Camelback mountain view and headed home.
