This beautiful little birdie came in to our world on October 19, 2015 @ 0759 via c-section and life as we know it will never be the same. I truly can not imagine a life without her in it or without experiencing the overwhelming power of a mother’s love. It is thanks to her that my life has purpose and a new focus. She has opened my eyes to what is important and what actually matters. It is because of her that I am able to shine confidently in my own skin because I will always strive for her to do the same.

She is the sweetest little soul and has been a happy and content baby since day one. She is such a daddy’s girl (God- I love that man for giving me this life). She was truly born with a sparkle- and she is always singing and dancing to remind you of life’s little pleasures. I love this lazy, beautiful, darling little bluebird who made me “mama”.

I took these pictures the day I bought a new lens based on recommendation from Trisha Sheehan. It is a Nikkor 50mm 1.8. There is a definite learning curve to a fixed lens, especially with the natural crop of the frame but I love the outcome. I am extremely new to being behind a camera. I am not a professional photographer (though I now aspire to be), I don’t own professional equipment (yet), I have no idea how to “blog” (don’t expect perfect fashion, images, or hair- expect a raw learning curve), but I am excited to learn something new and have a hobby that takes the focus off of fitness and my own physical attributes and shines a light on the beauty of this world. I would absolutely LOVE to get in to newborn and maternity photography, but in the meantime, I am eager to get in as much practice behind the lens as possible!

I think this is a better #fit for you! Definitely more empowering purpose to showcase to your followers! Congratulations on finding a new passion.

Thanks Kelli! The fitness focus just isn’t for me anymore. The industry has gone from promoting health and wellbeing to promoting self-serving mentalities, selling unhealthy products, and crushing self-esteem. I don’t want to be any part of that! Hahaha I can’t wait to hopefully capture your special baby memories!
